Customising artwork for Private and Commercial Environments
At Concrete_id_interiors we collaborate with our clients to create an artwork that is unique to their environment, interiors and personalalities/ or corporate brand. Thereby creating an artwork that is unique for each client. We believe in developing good relationships with our clients as their input is vital in our design process. There are two markets we cater to:
Corporate: Our design process includes consulting about their culture, values and identity. This helps us in designing an artwork not only specific for their interior, but an artwork that represents what their company is about and how they see themselves. We develop a series of concepts which we present and workshop with the clients. Once a concept is chosen, we handle the production and installation of the work within a time frame that is agreed upon.
Private: With our private clients, our consults is based more on the interiors of the space, colour schemes and a theme/context the clients want. The emotional link to the development of a specific artwork is a great journey for our clients.
Commercial and Corporate Environments
'Lucky butterflies for the New Year' - Japanese ink, acrylic on archival paper and origami paper MahJong Room Restaurant Crown Street, Surry Hills The owners of the restaurant wanted an interior piece specifically designed to add to the setting of its antique oriental furnishings and ambience. We spoke about not interrupting the space but creating something that is unique. This artwork was also designed t be installed for the up coming Chinese New Year celebrations 2006
'Blockscape' - Oil on canvas
Mastergroup Pty Ltd - Property Development and Management Group
The client wanted an artwork for his boardroom wall to liven up the space to give it some colour and difference. We spoke about his company culture and values to which we drew up a series of concept drawings.
'Cycles' - Watercolour on archival paper, mounted board Balmain Massage Centre This was a new centre that was opening up and the clients wanted and artwork that was as much an artwork as it was an interior wall piece. We spoke about ideas that revolved around healing, relaxation, and life. How they wanted a theme that marked their new business and their identity as a business. The graphic elements used are of recurring shapes that come together to form a 'dragonfly' - they extend beyond the bounderies on the painting incorporating the walls around.
Home environments / Home Spaces / Personal Spaces
'Lost glass of red'- Oil on canvas Private
The client knew they wanted a large painting for their dining space
that opens onto the living space. They wanted red tones/ warm tones.
The client wanted a piece that respected an Australiana piece to them.
They wanted artwork where they 'could get lost in over a glass of wine - Still earth and violent skies.'
'Prairie Massacre'- Oil on canvas Private This particular commission
stemmed from 'Lost over a glass of red', I had developed a series of
concept artworks for the artwork and this was one of them. I was
commissioned an artwork for one of the couple and the other one love
this one so much, they commissioned to do both! This was a more
contemporary approach to what i believe to be an Australian piece.
